Last week marked a celebration for a cohort of Cambridge Medical Students who attended their Medical Declaration Ceremony after six years of study. They were delighted with the ‘pink furry’ hood, despite Cambridge reaching 32 degrees today. One student enquired, “What is the difference between all the pink fur hoods?” Great question, it took me some time to learn the difference so here goes…
B.Chir. – Batchelor of Surgery – Hood and tippet of mid-cherry the hood part lined with white fur, no fur edging to the tippet
M.B. – Batchelor of Medicine – Hood and tippet of mid-cherry the hood part lined with white fur, and the tippet edged with 1″ of white fur
Vet. M.B. – Batchelor of Vetinary Medicine – Hood and tippet of mid-cherry the hood part lined with white fur, and the tippet edged with 2″ of white fur
